About
The STAR Impact Team is a mobile activity unit that volunteers in Scioto County.
In December 2017, members of the team hit a historic milestone as they surpassed an incredible 20,000 hours of volunteer service to our community since 2012! A number that grows with each passing month!
Since it’s formation, approximately 100 individuals have participated in team projects each year.
Objectives
- Bell ringing for the Salvation Army
- Assisting the camp Ranger with maintenance projects at Boy Scout Camp Oyo.
- Fill blessing box at Star and others throughout Scioto County
- Music outreach at 16 local Nursing and Day Habilitation facilities.
- Walk dogs at Scioto County Animal Shelter
- Pick up trash at Vern Riffe School, local parks and hwy 52
- Adoption and maintenance of the Lock 48 Historic Site on State Route 104, part of the Scenic Scioto Byway
